The company has a dynamic board made up of exceptional
professionals in various fields with experience that cut across financial
services, oil and gas, engineering, law and public sector.
Alhaji Alfa Suleiman Wali, B.A [Econs &
Pol Science] – Chairman
An Industrialist, Technocrat and Agriculturist. In
the early sixties, he served in the Northern Nigeria Government as Assistant
Secretary in the Premier’s Office in Kaduna, Senior Administrative
Officer in Ministry of Works, Industries and Agriculture. He served
as a Permanent Secretary in the Federal Civil Service under the following
ministries: Political Affairs, Office of the President, Public Matters,
Head of Service, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Information, Social
Development, Youth, Sports and Culture, Ministry of Defence, Ministry
of Aviation. He retired in 1990 as the longest serving Permanent Secretary
in Nigeria [1968 – 1990].
He is a member of Northern Nigeria Marketing Board,
member, Governing Council, Institute for Social and Economic Research
[NISER]. He served on the board of National Cargo Handling Company,
Nigeria Television Authority, Nigeria produce Marketing Company, to
mention only a few.
He at various occasions represented Nigeria in various
international assignments such as; Leader of the Nigerian Delegation
to International Maritime Organization in London, Leader of the Nigerian
Delegation to International Aviation Authority in Montreal, Canada.
It was his exploits in the civil service that earned
him a call to serve the Federal Government of Nigeria between 1998 and
1999 as Minister, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
He is presently the Chairman/CEO, Rurum Farms Limited, one of the largest
privately owned farms in Northern Nigeria.
Alhaji Alfa Suleiman Wali holds the London University
Degree of B.A in Economics and Political Science. As a student, he won
a medal in Oratory at the University College, Ibadan.
Emmanuel Osa Agwoje, B.Sc, M.Sc[Econs] –
Managing Director/CEO
An outstanding scholar who won various awards in his
school days, he was placed third in a National Essay Competition and
was, for three years, while at the University of Port Harcourt, in the
Dean List for outstanding performance. At the University of Benin, he
was the best graduating student in the M.Sc Economics class of 1986.
A seasoned banker, his career which spanned over a
period of 16 years at Allstates Trust Bank Plc, took him through all
facets of banking including branch management, credit and marketing,
foreign operations, investment banking, private banking and corporate
finance; culminating to his being appointed Executive Director overseeing
investment banking activities of the bank. He was Team Leader for Prudent
Bank Plc restructuring programme that presented to UAC Plc, the majority
shareholder of the bank then, the blue print that formed the basis for
restructuring the bank. He has attended various banking courses at home
and abroad.
As a banker, he was saddled with sensitive responsibilities
of managing his bank’s liquidity, asset and liabilities as well
as funds management. At various occasions, he was mandated to manage
branches where he excelled. He also championed the course of shaping
the bank’s strategic direction in terms of human capital development.
His intelligence, diligence and integrity saw him sitting on and chairing
different policy making committees notable among them being the Bank’s
Asset and Liabilities Committee [ALCO]. He was instrumental in fashioning
some key policies that were in use in the Bank.
A one time Trustee of Money Market Association of
Nigeria, Mr. Agwoje served as a major resource person in articulation
of Programmes for the association and played key role in the development
and implementation of Treasury Dealership Certificate of Money Mart.
Aside serving as member of Rivers State and Bayelsa State Privatisation
Committee that advised the Governments of these states on the privatization
programme, Emmanuel Agwoje, in 1999 worked with the Minister of Science
and Technology in the development of the blue print for the Nigerian
Satellite Project.
OKOTURO GODWIN BABATUNDE BSc, FCS
Director
Mr. Okoturo is a fellow of the Chartered
Institute Stockbrokers with deep knowledge of the financial services
industry and rich work experiences that cut across banking and
non-banking financial institutions. Some of the organizations where he
meritoriously served in different executive capacities include: Bank of
Credit and Commerce Int. Nig. Limited, Centrepoint Investment Limited
and Shiroro Finance Limited. He presently serves on the board of several
companies some of which are Alfred George Nigeria Limited (Venture
Capitalist/Consultancy Services), Food Emporium International Limited,
Oceandrive Foods Limited, AG Foods Nigeria Limited, Sastog Investments
Limited and Associated Franchise Holding.
David Nwazeapu, LL.B [Hons] B.L, LL.M, MBA
– Director
A barrister at Law whose unrelenting desire to excel
has taken him to all aspects of business. His remarkable career commenced
with Lagos State Ministry of Justice in 1979 as an Accounts Clerk in
the Administrator General and Public Trustee Unit. His career, after
qualifying as a lawyer has seen him served in various capacities as
the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser for various companies. His business
acumen endeared him to serve as the General Manager African Petroleum
Plc, Director Util Gas Nigeria & Overseas Gas Co. Ltd, Director
African Petroleum Plc, Deputy Managing Director, Star-AP Joint Venture
and Managing Director, Sadiq Petroleum Nigeria Ltd before venturing
into private business.
David holds Law Degree [LL.B and LL.M] obtained at the Universities
of Benin and Lagos respectively, a post Graduate Diploma in Management
and an MBA from ESUT Business School.
Kasim Olalekan Hassan, HND, MBA – Director
An accomplished banker, Alhaji Hassan’s banking
career spanned over a period of 25 years. Three of these were spent
in Corporation of Lloyds City of London as an underwriter. His 18 years
career with the Central Bank of Nigeria exposed him to various aspects
of banking in the apex bank including: Exchange Control, Organization
and Methods, Internal Audit, Branch Management, Banking Operations,
Treasury and Accounts where he worked in senior capacity. After a successful
career in Central Bank of Nigeria, Alhaji Hassan moved to London, where
he worked as a Financial Consultant on mortgages, property negotiation
and management services. He presently is a commissioner with the Oyo
State Independent Electoral Commission.
He was educated at South West London College where
he read Business Studies, holds the Post Graduate Diploma of the Administrative
Staff College and an MBA in Banking and Finance from Kessington University,
Glendale C.A.
Babatunde Soetan, B.Sc, M.Sc – Director
An accomplished Civil Engineer/Construction and Project
Management Professional, with over 20 years experience, has served in
senior capacity in various companies such as Globacom Limited, Crown
Realties Plc ASI Building Systems Ltd, Sakamori Construction Nigeria
Ltd, and Espro Construction Ltd.
His skill covers formulation of project proposals,
planning, scheduling and coordination of project implementation in building
estate infrastructure and mass housing development. He is currently,
the Managing Director Director/CEO of Lilburn Millennia Projects Nigeria
Limited.
Mr. Soetan obtained the B.Sc degree in Civil Engineering
at the University of Ife [now Obafemi Awolowo University] and M.Sc Construction
Management from the University of Lagos.
